This is
my
racquet
manufacturer
of
choice
whether
teaching
or
playing
tennis.
It is
the
choice
of the
United
States
Professional
Tennis
Association.
My
personal
racquet
is the
Head
Liquid
Metal 4
and
sometimes
my young
students
tease me
about
how old
the
racquet
is and I
quickly
remind
them
that
once you
find a
racquet
that
feels
comfortable
with
it's
hard to
change.

I have
tried
other
Head
tennis racquets
from but
this one
gives
the best
combination
of feel,
control
and
power
than any
of the
others
that I
have
played
with.
One of
the
things
that I
particularly
like
about
them
is their
system
of
determining
your
swing
and then
applying
a
racquet
number to
whether
you have
a big
backswing
or a
short
one.
An
example
of this
is the
Tis5
would be
for
someone
who has
a
shorter
backswing
than the
Tis1
racquet.
If on
the
other
hand you
had a
longer
backswing,
you
would
choose
one of their
"L"
series
racquets.
You
might
ask then
"what is
backswing?"
Backswing
is how
far you
take the
racquet
back in
order to
generate
power to
get the
ball
over the
net.
Some
people
have a
big loop
and
others
only
take the
racquet
back a
short
distance.
